How long is your cheese good for? Can I freeze it?

Alouette cheese should never be frozen. Under refrigeration at home, and unopened, Alouette or will be good until the "sell by" date on the package.  You should consume the product within 7 days after opening, or by the date on the package, whichever comes first.

What is the white coating on the rind of Alouette Baby Brie?

The soft white coating is a mold that is characteristic of brie and camembert cheeses. This mold protects the cheese and helps to give it the flavor the makes brie cheese special. It is safe to eat, or can be removed and discarded when serving.

What size is Alouette Spreadable Cheese available in?

Alouette is available in 4 oz and 6.5 oz. sizes.

Does the Alouette product line include any low fat products?

Yes, Alouette makes Light Garlic & Herbs and Light Cucumber Dill Spreadable Cheeses that have 50% less fat than our regular spreadable cheese.

Yes, Alouette Spreadable Cheese, Alouette Elégante and Alouette Cuisine Crème Fraîche, are all kosher.

Yes! We remove the rind from regular brie cheese and then prepare it so you can enjoy the creamy center of brie.

Why doesn't my store carry all of the flavors?

Each store makes its own decision on which flavors to carry. If you don't see a particular flavor, ask the Deli manager if he/she would consider ordering it.
