Alouette® Garlic and Herb Croustade Recipe

Ingredients

1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. garlic, chopped
½ cup onion, minced
2/3 cup red bell pepper, roasted, chopped
1 cup baby bella or other mushroom, chopped
½ cup bacon, blanched and chopped
1 pkg. (6.5 oz.) or 2 pkgs. (4 oz.) Alouette Garlic & Herbs, or Alouette Peppercorn Parmesan, or Alouette Sundried Tomato & Basil  Spreadable Cheese.
2 tbsp. fresh parsley (or 1 tbsp. dried)
2 pkgs. (2.1 oz.) frozen mini phyllo shell


Directions

In a non-stick pan over medium heat, heat oil and sauté garlic, onion, pepper, mushroom and bacon for 3-5 minutes.

Reduce heat to low and add Alouette Garlic & Herbs Spreadable Cheese. Blend and simmer for a minute.

Remove from heat and stir in parsley.

Spoon a heaping teaspoon in each phyllo cup and serve warm.

For a creative touch, use any variety of seasonally fresh vegetables such as chopped fennel, summer or winter squash, etc.
