Alouette® Tomato and Basil Fondue Recipe

Makes: Enough sauce for 42 meatballs
Product: Alouette® Soft Spreadable Cheese

Ingredients

42 small beef or turkey meatballs prepared from your favorite recipe
8 oz. milk, warmed
2 pkgs. (6.5 oz.) Alouette Sundried Tomato & Basil, or Alouette Savory Vegetable  Spreadable Cheese
1 large tomato, seeded and diced
¼ cup fresh basil, roughly chopped


Directions

Prepare 42 meatballs in advance from your favorite recipe.

Place milk in a small pan and warm on stovetop (or warm directly in a fondue pot).

Add Alouette Sundried Tomato & Basil Spreadable Cheese and stir to blend.

If sauce is too thick, add more milk to thin out.

Place cheese sauce in a fondue pot and stir in tomato and basil.

Skewer each meatball and serve.

Notes:
Meatballs can be reheated without skewers in a 300° F oven, if needed.

Sauce can be reheated in the microwave, if needed, for 15 to 20 seconds on high.
